Thank you for shopping with Josephina Lace. We ask that you carefully read our Purchase and Shipping Terms to ensure that you are completely aware of your rights when it comes to purchasing products (the Products) from our website.


By accessing this Website and/or placing an order you agree to be bound by the Terms and Conditions set out below. We may change these Terms and Conditions without letting you know and therefore it is your duty to check this page for any changes. If you do not agree to be bound by these Conditions you may not use or access this Website.


You must be over 18 years old to buy goods from this site. If you are under 18, you can only use this site with the involvement of a parent or guardian.


We will take all reasonable care of orders, in so far as it is in our power to do so, to keep the details of your order and payment secure, but in the case of negligence on your part we cannot be held liable for any loss you may suffer if a third party procures unauthorized access to any data you provide when accessing or ordering from the Website.



Prices are subject to change at any time but no change will apply to an order we have already confirmed. The prices of garments and products mirror time, the cost of materials and logistics. Please keep in mind that prices do not include delivery.



Josephina Lace accepts payment via credit card (Visa/Mastercard), debit card and Paypal. Once you have made your payment for your order, we will email you an invoice, which confirms our receipt of your order.



The transmission of information via the Internet or email is not completely secure. Although we will do our best to protect your personal data, we cannot guarantee the security of data while you are transmitting it to our site; any such transmission is at your own risk.

Once we have received your personal data, we will use strict procedures and security features to try to prevent unauthorised access. Where we have given you (or where you have chosen) a password to access certain parts of our site, you are responsible for keeping this password confidential. You should be mindful to choose a password that is not easy for someone to guess.


We use the highest strength Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encryption on our website. This means that ultimate security and privacy is provided. SSL is a sophisticated method of scrambling data as it travels from your computer to our website servers.

Our handmade garments displayed live on our website (https://www.josephinalace.com or https://www.josephinalace.co.uk) are available to purchase and are on-hand to send once purchased. On occasion we produce made-to-order items, this however, will be by order of appointment only. If you purchase a made-to-order item your order is subject to fabric availability and payment. We will confirm by email our acceptance of your order once payment has been made in full. No contract will exist between us until that email has been sent. If an item is out of stock we will advise you before confirming your order.



We process our orders on business days which are Monday to Friday, excluding any applicable public holidays. Once your order has been processed online we will email you to confirm the dispatch with a corresponding tracking number.



Whenever possible orders are dispatched within 24 hours following our confirmation of your order. We will do our best to ensure the timely delivery of your order so that you can enjoy your new item ASAP! 


We will always do our best for you to have your order with you as soon as possible! However, sometimes unforeseen situations which will affect the time of delivery may be beyond our control, such as 1) bad weather conditions, which can block roads and prevent couriers from doing their job; 2) recipient refuses parcel (if you are sending a package or a gift to someone,  make sure you let them know they should expect a package to be delivered to their address); 3) maintenance work or building work (though not very common, maintenance work around the building or in the building might make the delivery difficult).

Claims for lost outgoing parcels cannot be made until a reasonable enough time has passed to allow for delays in the post, generally 10 working days in the case of a standard delivery. After 10 working days have passed, if you have not received your order you must then inform us. For all other expedited delivery options you must inform us within 5 working days of the expected date of delivery.


Any items damaged in transit or any discrepancies with orders must be reported to us within 2 days of receipt so please check your delivery on arrival.



All materials, including images, illustrations, designs, site layout, photographs, written and other text or script that are part of this site together with all software compilations, underlying source code and software in the site are protected by copyright, trade mark, design right and/or other worldwide intellectual property rights and are owned or controlled by or licensed to Josephina Lace. Any use of this website or its contents, including copying or storing it, in part or in whole, other than for your own lawful, personal, non-commercial use is prohibited without the prior permission of Josephina Lace. You may not reproduce, publish, transmit, publicly perform, distribute, display, modify, adapt, bundle, alter, create derivative works of the site, sell or participate in any sale of or exploit in any way, any of the contents, the site, or any related software in whole or in part without our express prior written permission.



To the extent permitted by law, Josephina Lace gives no warranties in relation to the website, in particular with limitation, any warranties regarding the accuracy of descriptions and illustrations of items in the website or in our catalogue or other IP infringement and freedom from viruses. We do our best to keep our site up to date but cannot guarantee that the site and its contents are completely free of technical errors, viruses or anything else that may have a harmful effect on your computer or any technology. Josephina Lace will also do its best to allow you uninterrupted access to the site 24 hours per day, but access may be suspended, restricted or terminated at any time. By using the site, you acknowledge that you assume full responsibility for all costs associated with any necessary servicing or repairs of any equipment that you use in connection with Josephina Lace site. Of course, this statement does not affect your statutory rights as a customer.



To the extent permitted by law, Josephina Lace will have no liability to you in contract, tort (including negligence) or otherwise for any loss (including loss of profit), cost or damage (whether indirect, consequential, or otherwise) suffered as a result of your use of the website or from use of information passed through the website, even if we are aware of the possibility of such loss. Additionally, we shall also not be liable to you for a breach of these Terms and Conditions or a failure to perform if the delay or failure is due to a cause beyond our reasonable control.

Josephina Lace total liability for any claim howsoever arising shall not exceed the price paid for the goods supplied by Josephina Lace to the customer, together with any postage costs incurred.



You must use the site for lawful purposes only. By registering with us you recognise that you are responsible for all access made to the site using the login details that you provide us with. As with all passwords and usernames, it is important that you keep them confidential at all times.

If any part of these Terms and Conditions is unlawful, void or for any other reason unenforceable, then that provision shall be cut out of the Terms and Conditions and shall not affect the validity or enforceability of any of the remaining provisions. Also, if we fail to enforce a right under these Terms and Conditions, it does not mean that we do not have the right to enforce other rights, or the same type of right at a later stage.
